Preikestolen: en samtale med God

Well, Hello, everyone!

I was out working and having my numerous everyday life problems not writing anything for you for long time.

But there was something interesting during my last days that I guess will be interested for all my friends...at least you guys could take a look at the pictures :)

It turned so that had some business in Stavanger these 5-6 of Mai 2015. As you might know or not I have some friends there and I've used this opportunity to meet them.

My friend I refer to could be known to some of my followers form few previous posts - he is a St. Petersburg's fellow - Alex Bertov. So I of course would like to take an advantage of this business trip and to meet him. 

But apparently of that I knew that there's one of the most spectaculous places in Norway nearby Stavanger. A must visit place for tourists and the ones living here. I guess many of you have seen a pictures of this place in some brochures showing Norwegian landscapes and attractions, maybe without even recognizing what is that indeed. 

The place I promote now is called "Preikestolen" in Norwegian.

I haven't got a clue about what it actually is but a colleague of mine explained me this while we've been sitting in Bergen's airport Flesland...

So the word as many others in Norwegian is a composed one: "Preike" means "to talk" and Stolen "the chair". One could think (as I did before) that it is a chair to talk...well, indeed Preikestolen is a place in church near the one where a priest is standing...so meaning could be the place to talk to God...I guess when you'll see a pictures, you find the reason why :)

I started my day 7 o'clock form my home and it took me half hour driving to the airport with some traffic, nothing is perfect, you know. When a flight to Stavanger is only 30 minutes, so we with my colleague have been to Stavanger office around 9-something 

We were having full day of course in a business process but it is far out of topic. We agreed to go to the "talking cliff" right after the course...but there were wind and rain...we with Aleksandr desired almost to give up but luckily he had a visitor this time. She was a way more motivated to go there in any case than us and by that she have motivated us two as well...

We started a bit later than planned with ferry from Stavanger to Tau (a little place on the other side of the fjord). I must excuse myself since no pictures of the ferry were taken however it could be interesting for many followers to see it. If any interest will be indicated - I will make you a post about ferries :) 

The ferry took about half an hour and then we had to drive for about 15 minutes to get to the parking near the start of the touristic path. 

I have to admit that it is written on Wikipedia I referred above that the way takes approximately form 1 to 3 hours each direction however the length is only 3,8km. I given this info a doubt at once I've read it: how could 3,8km be taken in 1-3hours...normally you go 4-5 km/hour...if you run it would be (of course depends on you fit, I count on my - what speed I can hold for an hour without dying completely  :) ) about 10 km per hour...all of us were of some ok fit, so at least 5-6 km/h should be possible to hold for a while. And a while of 3,8km should be done in about 40 minutes. 

However, I guess nobody is interested in any kind of calculations, so I'll just show you some views for the path to the target place. Enjoy!

I must admit that there were many views on the way to parking that could be called "beautiful"...but the views on the way to Preikestolen were extraordinary...

And of course - here is the point of all these text and our affords: 

As one might notice the place is really something you feel like touching a door to heaven...knocking on it :) 

Summing it up we managed the way in 40 minutes up and 20 minutes down but almost running on the way back. However the full way took us about three hours and it was very late...but we were hungry and therefore we had a nice dinner and discussions at Aleksandr's apartment...I was even more late to the hotel...

Next day there was new day of coursing. I've managed it but was completely washed out. 

One good thing - I've found nice place on plane (10A) near the emergency exit 

So I had my car on airports parking that let me to be home quite soon.

Water skies! Frist try!

Well, this is going to be two language port due to my friends that I've been with during this action would also like to understand what is it about actually :)

Как написано выше - этот пост будет на двух языках - моим друзьям, с которыми мы провернули приключение о коим пойдет речь, тоже было интересно почитать. Собственно, пробуем через абзац с переводом.

Yesterday, 26th of July 2014, I got an interesting proposition from my colleague who said: "What's about some water sport on Saturday?"...Well I might say that I'm not really afraid of new things especially the ones that give you a chance to survive...Water is kind of soft, perhaps :)
So I agreed to try this new activity.

Вчера, 26 Июля 2014 мой коллега предложил мне следующее: "Как насчет водного спорта?"...Ну я, вроде, не из совсем пугливых в отношении новых вещей, особенно тех, где есть шанс выжить...Вода как бы мягкая...скорее всего :)

It's been one of the best days this summer in Norway I must admit. There were almost no clouds... light breeze somewhere from the shore of England bringing this a bit sea-salty fresh air fulling the lenghs to the top with feeling of freedom and reckless independence of the real life...Maybe this was actually the amusing the hearts of many poets and writers...Who knows...

Это был один из лучших летних деньков, я должен отметить...Практически безоблачно...Легкий бриз откуда-то с Английского побережья приносил слегка солоноватый свежий воздух, так сладко наполняющий легкие чувством свободы и беспечной отрешенности от реального мира...Может это чувство и наполняло сердца поэтов и прозаиков...Кто знает...

It was a bit strange for me, but water was heated up by unusually hot Norwegian summer sun to 19-20 degrees C. So it was was anyhow cold to be in the water. Seems like I've lost the swimming season due to my preconception :)

Было немного странно, что необыкновенно горячее норвежское солнце нагрело воду до 19-20 градусов так, что было совсем не холодно плавать...Кажется, с моими суевериями, я пропустил сезон тут :)

We've been four persons and a boat...By the way....The boat is not that kind of my usual subsciber will imagine at the first instance :)
It was a high speed little fancy boat giving 25-26 knots of cruse speed. Apparently of the "water sport" that was already worth trying - just seating in the boat going 25 knots in the Bergen harbour...That's something already cool!

Нас было четверо и лодка....Кстати...Лодка было не совсем тем, что мой читатель сразу себе представит :)
Это была скоростная меголодка идущяя 25-26 узлов. Отдельно от "водного спорта", это уже стоило того, чтобы попробовать - просто сидеть в лодке идущей 25 узлов в акватории Бергена...Это само по себе что-то крутое!

First one of our colleagues tried Wake board near the Falck Nutec station (this is the place where everyone have their offshore safety training). But there was  a raw sea...so we moved to east part of Askøy island...

Но там было неспокойное море...так что мы отправились к восточной оконечности острова Аскьой...Вот немного фоток ребят, замешенных в "водный спорт"...

I, probably, have to say few word about my person personally...Well, I have never tried "water sports"...apparently water skies...But I've tried a bit of different activities requiring good balance like ice-skates, in-line skates, alpine skies...So it was not really new feeling - the balance on the skies.
The main trouble of the beginners, as I understand from my friends, is to stand up on the skies from the water...Well, I've almost managed from the first try...And I've managed from the second! :)
I must say, I had a good teachers...that's their regards :)
Let's take a look now?:)

Я скорее всего должен сказать пару слов о себе собственно...Ну, я никогда не пробовал эти самые водные виды спорта...водные лыжи тоже...Хотя, я пробовал другие занятия, требующие хорошего баланса: коньки, ролики, горные лыжи...То есть, само чувство равновесия на лыжах не было совсем уж новым.
Основной проблемой новичков, как я понял, является встать на лыжи из воды...Что же, я почти справился с первой попытки...И полностью справился со второй!
Я должен отдать должное своим "учителям"...это их заслуга :)

Also it is worth to say about my colleague/friend Johannes - as you might see below - he was doing "a one ski water skiing"...well, it looks cool...probably not that easy as one could do at the first try :)

Так же стоит отметить моего друга/коллегу - Йоханнеса, как вы сможете заметить далее, он стоял только на одной лыжне...выглядит круто...наверно не так просто чтобы пробовать в первый раз :)

After all this action we have grilled a bit of different stuff on our balcony and were enjoying the best Norwegian summer day! 

Everything was just underlined by the fireworks due to Tall ship races in Bergen the same day...I have not managed to get there...But it is not a big deal :)

После всего этого вы устроили барбекю у нас на балконе и насладились лучшим днем норвежского лета! 

Кульминацией вечера был салют в честь парусной регаты проходившей в Бергене в тот же день...Я не сумел попасть туда...Однако, это не такая уж большая проблема :)

So, there will be something to remember during the long dark winter evenings :)

To Paris

Всем привет!

Друзья, у нас тут слегка многовато поездок, однако, надеюсь, вам, тем, кто это все читает, интересно видеть что-то новое и неизведанное...или может быть не новое - кто-то был в тех местах, где я побывал.

Однако, только вчера я выложил пост про Берлин, так уж вышло, что был я там неделю назад, просто была куча дел, не успел все выложить сразу...

Сегодня мы кинем некую затравочку...

Дело в том, что когда человек много работает, ему иногда нужно отдохнуть...так вот именно такой момент настал с нами. 

Собственно, смотрите сами:

Как вы поняли, у нас отпуск и мы летим в Париж на 5 дней. Как то поперло в этом году с поездками...в прошлом мы не могли, так как занимались квартирой и Вике нельзя было летать.

Настенька уже чуть-чуть подросла и способна выдержать перелет...в мире весна...в Париже весна тоже (по прогнозам). Надеемся, будет круто и будет чем с вами поделиться :)

Кстати, вот эти ребята:

Что еще могу отметить, нас зарегистрировали всех вместе, коляску сдали в багаж...все быстро и без единой проблемы. Мы немного переживаем, первый раз с ребенком путешествуем таки :)

Второе - боялись, что на взлете Насте будет плохо из-за перепада давлений...она так устала от ожидания в аэропорту, что просто уснула...мы пытались всунуть ей воды в бутылочке - чтобы глотала и ушки не болели, но она похоже ничего и не почувствовала...да и наш боенг взлетел очень аккуратно, а сам особо перепада не заметил :)
